The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield is honored to be the recipient of a $10,000.00 gift from Stoneham Ford & the Melkonian family, who also generously sponsored an end of summer carnival for Stoneham summer camp children.
John Melkonian of Stoneham Ford visited the Stoneham Club on the last day of summer camp and presented the staff with a big check and provided several new Ford vehicles for the campers to explore. Anthony Guardia, Chief Development Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield, expressed how important this support is to both the Club and the Stoneham community.
“Stoneham Ford and the Melkonian family represent the best of our community. Their philanthropy supports not just our Clubs and our kids, but countless charities in Stoneham. And they have been doing so for generations! We are so fortunate to have them as neighbors and to have them investing in our community. We are forever grateful,” said Guardia.
In addition to the donation, the Club also hosted a full afternoon of carnival activities provided by Stoneham Ford including bounce houses, obstacle courses, carnival treats, face painting and a dunk tank.
“It is important to us at Stoneham Ford to support our community, especially our children. It was great to see all the kids having a blast at the Summer Carnival. Adam and his team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield have such a positive impact on the young people at the club!” said John Melkonian, General Manager of Stoneham Ford.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield extends a sincere thank you to Stoneham Ford & the Melkonian family for the continued support of its children and Club programming.
